PEMF Explained

Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields

Its History and How It Works

Originally studied by Tesla in the early 1900s, the FDA later found his studies to be practical enough for public sessions for treating non-union fractures and stimulating bone growth. These studies and sessions were looked into further in 1995 by scientists at the University of Kentucky. What they found was that soft tissues seemed to favor this treatment, and by further applying these fields to animals and humans alike their healing processes were sped up.

As we look towards today we find a multitude of doctors and veterinarians alike using this treatment to help ease patients back into proper health. What this treatment does is stimulate the cells in four ways – Chemically, electrically, physically, and magnetically.

By targeting a cell’s membrane permeability through electromagnetic fields, we cause better circulation of nutrients and oxygen into these cells. This helps boost the healing process, reduces swelling and inflammation, and aids in providing pain relief to those going through these exercises. All of this is done through the fields as it promotes muscle relaxation and nerve regeneration via these electromagnetic waves.

How do we benefit from PEMF?

With PEMF targeting the cells to stimulate them with more oxygen and nutrients, we then find them cycling out carbon dioxide and waste products from within the membrane. This aids in their growth and from it we can reap the benefits of feeling more energized as years of built-up toxicity, infections, and so on are cleaned out from our bodies. Doing so allows us to be healthier as it assists in the body’s natural cycle and encourages healing.

When we apply this to our pets and horses they too can get the benefits of this wondrous treatment. Beyond the accelerated healing provided from these therapy sessions, the electromagnetic fields can detect areas of soreness to help refresh our animal companions. Through this non-invasive treatment, we can help optimize their wellness without the use of drugs to provide the benefits listed above.
